Biografie

Solarstone (in der Anfangszeit auch Solar Stone geschrieben) wurde 1996 als Trio gegründet. Zur ursprünglichen Besetzung gehörten Rich Mowatt, Sam Tierney (1996 - 1997) sowie Andy Bury (1997 - 2006). Seit 2006 ist Solarstone das Solo-Projekt von Rich Mowatt.

Richard John Mowatt wurde am 20. Oktober 1972 geboren und lebt in Wales (Vereinigtes Königreich).

Label

1998 gründeten Andy Bury und Rich Mowatt (die damals noch gemeinsam Solarstone waren) das Label DeepBlue Records. Rich Mowatt stieg 2006 aus dem Label aus und übernahm dafür die Rolle des A&R beim 2005 gegründeten Label Solaris Recordings, welches ihm auch zur Hälfte gehörte. Bei Solaris blieb er bis 2013. Kurze Zeit später gründete er mit Pure Trance Recordings ein neues Label.
