Ja, er ist einer der vielversprechendsten und talentiertesten DJs und Producer aus UK.

Mir gefallen seine Sachen um einiges mehr, als jene von Jon'O'Bir.

Bei der diesjährigen Mayday hat er mir sehr gut gefallen. Für meinen Geschmack war er nur zu früh dran. Aber Matt ist einer der Großen, die es verstehen eine Menschenmasse zu bewegen!

Matt wird leider seine Kopfhörer an den Nagel hängen, mich traf die Ankündigung wie der Schlag.

On June 18th the sad announcement came that Matt Hardwick would be hanging up his headphones, as other commitments would prevent him from continuing his DJ career. We decided that it was only right that we should be able to give him the send off he deserves after so many memorable sets over the years, and it is only fitting for him to play his final ever set in the city where he started, right here in Sheffield.

Having become Gatecrasher’s resident in the late 90’s Matt has gone on to perform and play at some of the most prestigious events. A truly international DJ, Matt has played all over the world and at some of the biggest festivals, arena events and of course Don Valley stadium on the Millennium. However the majority of us probably remember him for those epic sets, just down the road from us at the legendary Gatecrasher nights at The Republic. How could we ever forget those sets at the Red and Black nights alongside Scott Bond and Eddie Halliwell? Or his sets at the White Parties? And his 4-hour solo set back in 2002, alongside all the other countless nights where he’s packed out the dancefloor? And not forgetting the renowned Resident Transmission CDs that will remain in many a clubber’s CD player for years to come.
Taking a look back over his illustrious career it is clear to see why he has become one of the most in-demand DJs. As we have followed him throughout the years we have seen him become one of the most consistent DJs; with his flawless sets, effortless mixing and epic tune selection he has built up an incredible fan base, which is a testament to his talent, and as such he will definitely be missed from the scene.

Ich bin mit seinen Club set´s aufgewachsen und wie bereits erwähnt hatte er auch ein großes set in Dortmund.

Es ist schade das ein so großer und bedeutender DJ einfach aufhört.

Oh das ist schade. Reicht mein Englisch nicht aus, oder steht da keine Begründung warum er aufhört?

Ich habe ein Statement von ihm gelesen und dort meinte er, dass es wohl aktuell andere Dinge in seinem Leben gibt, die seine Aufmerksamkeit benötigen und er gemerkt hat das er trotz zurückschrauben der gigs in den letzten 2 Jahren immernoch nicht genug Zeit dafür hat.

Es wird spekultiert das er nicht mehr so zufrieden sei, mit der aktuellen Musik - aber das sind letztlich nur Gerüchte.

Er macht am 19. August seinen letzten Gig, das wird in Sheffield sein

Matt Hardwick's Produktionen waren eigentlich immer sehr ordentlich.
Seine letzte Single In My Mind finde ich jetzt persönlich nicht so berauschend, aber der Rest ist wirklich ausgezeichnet!
Nur war er Meiner Meinung nach ziemlich unbekannt, obwohl er seine Produktionen ziemlich Feuer hatten
