    Ich kann Chris Low nur Recht geben! Um den nötigen Respekt vor der sensiblen Technik des Auflegens zu bekommen, sollte man ruhig, sofern noch möglich und das Buget mitspielt, auf der guten alten Vinyl lernen.

    Wenn es gar nicht anders geht, dann mit CD Player einsteigen, aber ich Rate jedem, der neu beginnen möchte, niemals mit Traktor & Co anzufangen (also Softwarelösungen mit Mausklicks zu bedienen).
    Denn das allerwichtigste ist meiner Meinung nach, das Gehör und Gespür was sich über die Jahre entwickelt und ausbaut, zu erlernen, jeder modernen Technik zum trotz. So lernt man "musik zu lesen".

    Denn was bringt es, einen auftrebenden Star zu hören, der durch Produktionen etc. bekannt geworden ist und zum auflegen "gezwungen" wird, aber diese ganze Technik des Auflegens nicht beherrscht und mit wenigen Mausklicks einen Mix macht, der weder harmoniert noch irgendwelche Spannungsbögen mit sich bringt, in dem lediglich die Geschwindigkeit passt... Und wehe dem, ein MP3 ist im Eimer und er muss manuell anpassen... ;) Ich könnte genug Beispiele nennen, aber darum soll es ja nicht gehen.

    Also, schön das Handwerk mit CDs oder Vinyl von der Pike auf lernen!! Dann kann auch in schwierigen technischen Situationen kaum was schief gehen :)

    Ich habe im April 1993 angefangen. Mit einen 1210 & einem Reloop der allerdings schnell in die Ecke flog und durch einen zweiten 1210er ersetzt wurde, die hier auch heute noch stehen! ;) Nach Garantie Ende LED Umbau auf Blau... :D
    Dazu gabs damals einen Vestax PMC 05 ohne jeglichen Gain Regel usw.
    Vorhören war nur klassisch mit Monitor Box und ein Ohr im Kopfhörer möglich...
    Daran erkennt man teilweise heute noch DJs der alten Schule auf Events... ;) Habs mir aber zuhause mittlerweile fast abgewöhnt...
    Brauche aber trotzdem immer noch eine Monitorbox beim Übergang, ohne kann ich nicht und nur über die Kopfhörer bekomme ich den eigentlichen Mix nur durchschnittlich hin, ich muss die Musik dabei fühlen und laut hören... ;)

    Mittlerweile nutze ich zuhause Pioneer CDJ 800 (der mir im Pitch aber zu ungenau ist) & DJM 400 bzw. demnächst hoffentlich die 850er (aus eben genanntem Problem, ich brauch den 0,02% Pitch... ;) ) freufreu...
