    ich k annte diesen namen bislang nicht, aber wenn er bei flashover released hab ich mir die mühe mal angetan und seine tracks mal angehört :)
    und ich muss sagen: wirklich sehr schön. "come home" gefällt mir auch im original mit der unkonventionellen aufmachung (und wird normal auch besser klingen als die 128kb/s version von myspace).

    besonders sagt mir das tolle delay auf den vocals zu :) macht diese umso schöner.

    auch "epic" überzeugt mich :huebbel:

    naja, bin gespannt was da noch so kommt.

  • Angel Ace "St. Thomas"

    original mix: typischer angel-ace-sound: schneller uplifting sound mit schönen flächen und einem eingängigen thema, welches sich durch den ganzen track zieht. nichts was mich vom stuhl reißt, aber eben ordentlich produziert.

    der reconceal mix ist mein favorit, er kommt ein wenig progressiver daher. die ausarbeitung insgesamt sagt mir weit mehr zu. :)

    der dritte remix ist nicht mein fall.

    insgesamt gut 4 punkte würd ich sagen :)

  • [2010-02-05] Progressive Athmosphere 1 Year Hyphnotic Vibes with Lange @ Abraxxass Zülpich

    die party war genial!!! eigentlich sogar perfekt...

    es war nicht ganz so voll wie beim letzten mal, dafür habe ich die stimmung als weitaus besser empfunden. das publikum bestand zum überwiegenden teil zwar nicht wirklich aus eingefleischten "trancern", aber mit einem nischensound konnte man diesmal die meisten zum tanzen bewegen. hab ich zumindest so wahrgenommen :)

    von jennifer snow b2b nick tyrez hab ich nur die letzten tracks mitbekommen, aber der sound gefiel mir gut, zur einstimmung wunderbar.

    mein set danach hat mir in jedem fall riesenspaß gemacht und es scheint auch ganz gut angekommen zu sein.

    lange hat danach eben richtigen trance gespielt und wir, die "wahren" trancer haben auf der tanzfläche richtig gas gegeben. die stimmung war genial, lange hat ein geiles set gespielt und auch spaß gehabt, auch wenn ab 1 uhr die ersten nach hause gingen und sich die tanzfläche ein wenig leerte, was die stimmung jedoch familiärer und ausgelassener werden ließ.

    soulcatcher und andretschev spielten danach ein melancholisches abschiedsset, was den bevorstehenden "trip" von christian nach asien nur noch emotionaler und schwerer fallen ließ wie einigen anzumerken war... aber naja, ich hoffe dass er mit neuer energie und tatendrang in einem halben jahr oder in einem jahr wieder da ist und wir wieder solch legendäre parties feiern können :)

    einige neue gesichter (aus dem tf) kennengelernt, die 2 for 1 aktion war ne gute sache, einfach ne geile party :)

    sind dann auch erst nach haus als das licht anging hehe

  • Yuri Kane "Right back"

    danke das du den track postest, ich habe ihn eben mir noch unabhängig davon angehört weil ich ein großer fan dieses jungen mannes aus russland bin. ich kenne drei tracks von ihm (den departures-remix und den hier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRg3DCPAqd8&feature=channel ) und alle sind einfach nur genial!

    right back setzt sich vom sound ein wenig vom rest ab. die vocals sind einfach schön, das soundgerüst ist perfekt und atmosphärisch dicht, das piano, die pads, das drumming, alles wie aus einem guss und perfekt arrangiert. es ist kein track der jemandem zum feiern bringen kann, aber yuri schafft es einfach, musik zu schaffen, die belanglos (nicht negativ konnotiert) und wunderschön zugleich ist. leichte, atmosphärische, melancholische tracks für ruhige minuten.

    sein sound ist einzigartig, und ich denke wir werden noch viel von ihm hören.

    ach gut ok, wenn er j schon abgenommen wurde dann scheint das label ja zufrieden! ist halt eben auch geschmackssache

    zum einen das. deutsche vocals im trance mag ich nicht (wenn sie nicht grad von heppner kommen ^^), aber zudem war der text sowas von dumm ("lass uns tanzen gehen"), von daher find ich sie abartig :)

    kenn mich im genre nicht so aus :)

    den track finde ich super chillig und echt fein :) lohnt sich sicher dran weite rzu arbeiten. es ist alles sehr fein ausgearbeitet und wirkt sehr stimmig, auf jeden fall kommt ide düstere und tragende atmosphäre gut zur geltung :)

    mir wirkt das drumming und die bassline phasenweise etwas zu laut, aber wie gesagt das sage ich als genrefremder aus dem bauch heraus :)

    zu deinem remix von "your eyes": er klingt richtig schön und smooth, nur hat er wenig aussagekraft wie ich finde da keine packende mello vorhanden ist. aber vielleicht wolltest du es ja so haben - dann ist es einfach nicht mein geschmack :) aber wie gesagt, der sound ist kewl :)

  • Warum ich als Dj keine Gigs bekomme

    genau so würd ichs auch machen wenn ich mehr anfragen hätte ^^ ich spiele auch von progressive house bis progressive house alles, aber wenn jemand will dass ich kommerz-house oder electro spiele, dann ohne mich. ich geh dann lieber an die theke betäube mich und versuche die musik zu ertragen :)

    ansonsten find ich gut dass du so viel engagement zeigst, du siehst ja wie viele listeners du hast und damit auch wenn es zeitverschwendung ist.

    ich find die texte auch lustig (ich schreibe ja auch "Übertrieben" und "sarkastisch" im ausgangspost), ich finde sie tragen manch wahres in sich, und doch stimme ich auch daniel zu: so spricht jemand der gefrustet ist das andere ihm mittlerweile den rang abgelaufen haben.

    manche kritik finde ich überflüssig, mit anderen sachen trifft er den nagel auf den kopf... in jedem fal ist es witzig - und nicht komplett ernst zu nehmen!!!

    Ich bin auf der Myspace-Page von Will B (Ex-Trance Produzent) über sehr interessante, übertriebene und sarkastische Texte gestoßen die provokant wie interessant sind. Aus diesem Grund eröffne ich dieses Thema. Ich will nicht dass hier stundenlange Endlosdiskussionen aufkeimen, sondern ich möchte, dass diese Texte mal gelesen werden. Ich für meinen Teil finde er hat in vielen Dingen absolut Recht, in anderen Sachen würde ich ihm widersprechen. Zu manchen Dingen kann ich keine Aussage reffen.

    Aber macht euch selbst ein Bild. Schon seine Bio ist schön zu lesen:

    Music, films, anything that can make me laugh, monkeys (especially the ones that are always shagging), Jammie Dodgers, dancing like a lunatic, Jack Daniels, fettling my beard, saying inappropriate things, cooking, Eau D'Issey, poker, travelling and most importantly socialising with my friends.

    Things I dislike:

    Mushrooms, happy hardcore, "Thanks for the add" posts on myspace, people who try to befriend me solely to get somewhere, people who eat too loudly, people who drive too slowly, spiders and microwaved food.

    " How to make it big in trance in 8 easy steps.

    Well hello there.

    Seeing as it's so important these days for everyone who's ever listened to an Armin set to be a "producer", and how anyone who ever downloaded Traktor is now a DJ, I thought I'd post some helpful tips to point you in the right direction when you try and make it too.

    1. Get your own radio show.

    This is important because it means you can believe you're a proper DJ, even if you only play for an hour a month to 6 listeners, most of whom are your friends from high school. It's important that you make a banner on your cracked version of Photoshop which says how awesome you are, and gives details of the show. It's also important that you post on every forum you can think of with a list of all the tracks that you're going to play that night.

    2. Get some DJs & producers on your MSN list and spam them all the time.

    This one is really important. It means that you can tell them every day that you have a radio show on https://www.tranceforum.info/www.whogivesashit.fm and ask them to send all the music they make to you, as soon as they finished making it, for free. It also means that you can ask them "Do you have DJ Awesome's MSN?" and then post it on your screen name "Can DJ Awesome please contact me" just to show how many cool people you know. If you manage to get a promo from them, don't forget to play it in your radio show regardless of how shit it is, and say the record label is [Artist CDR]. Producers can also be useful for other things, but we'll come to that later.

    3. Learn to produce.

    This one is optional, but we'll come to that in a minute. You can get a cracked copy of FL Studio really easily, and all VSTs have presets that sound exactly like Above & Beyond so don't worry about learning how to program synths properly.

    Don't forget to spam all the producers you met in step 2 with your latest attempts at copying Above & Beyond or Deadmau5 and then ask them to give you loads of constructive feedback straight away. Also, don't forget to ask them to remix for you, demand to remix for them, and suggest collaborations with them at regular intervals.

    Now, if you don't want to learn to produce your own music, use your producer contacts for step 4.

    4. Get someone else to engineer for you.

    This one is great. It means that you pay someone a small fee to make some music for you, then you put your name on it. It means you don't have to learn how to make music at all, and you can spring from nowhere to sound really good straight away. People will think you are awesome and cool, and people who are now at step 1 in this program will add you to their MSN lists and ask you about their music all the time.

    Two good artists to get to engineer for you are Sean Tyas and Deadmau5. Everyone wants to sound like them anyway, so you might as well save the effort and just pay them straight away.

    It's also important at this stage to keep the big DJs on your side. Regularly email Tiesto to thank him for playing your track on Club Life. This means he'll keep playing your stuff, regardless of how many times you recycle the same sounds.

    5. Write about yourself in the third person.

    You've started to get famous now, even though you've not really done anything worth celebrating. Your Deadmau5 engineered track is being played on ASOT every week and people on the internet think you are the most promising young producer in the trance scene, even though you don't make the music yourself. Don't give in to pressure and tell people you use an engineer, simply write about how awesome you are on your myspace page, and pretend that someone else wrote it. You fucking beauty. Repeat steps 4 and 5 a couple of times and you're ready for step 6...

    6. Move on to playing at clubs.

    DJing is a very difficult thing to do. After all, beatmatching 2 tracks that both run at the same BPM is so difficult that people pay $50 just to see Tiesto get close to managing it. So now you're ready to play at clubs. Don't forget to look miserable while you play, because nobody likes a DJ to look like he's having fun. Also remember that you are far more important than anyone else in there, so feel free to run 30 minutes into the next DJs set, and ban anyone from the club if you don't like them.

    7. Keep making the same style of track over and over again.

    If you're paying someone else to engineer for you, just keep paying them and getting them to change the key of the tracks they are making for you every now and then to make it seem like it's something different. If, by some accident, you actually make music yourself, don't forget to keep using the same samples over and over again. Trance is recycled so often anyway it makes no difference and nobody will notice. By now all the big DJs know exactly who you are, so will doubtless play your music regardless if it's good or not. If some people complain that your music sounds the same, feel free to tell them to fuck off because you're more important.

    8. Make more and more outlandish requests.

    So you want 11 CDJs at each DJ gig, all of them held aloft by trained chipmunks? No problem. After all, you're making money from playing other people's music off CD so you deserve all the credit you're getting. People will worship the ground you walk on by now, so you're fully entitled to act like royalty. Don't forget to completely ignore all the people you used along the way to help to get you where you are. They aren't important now. You can continue to pay people to engineer music for you, so just make sure you choose someone who is vaguely popular at the time. You can also make more and more outlandish choices in your t-shirts, because everyone will think you're cool even if you turn up with "I AM A TWAT" written on your shirt. By now you've got all the drugs, women and fame you could ever want. Congratulations, you're now a fully fledged trance superstar. Enjoy your richly deserved success!!!"

    "Morning all.

    Over the last few months I've been through a lot of changes, both (in an incredibly self important way) personally and also musically. There are a few things I've come to realise and it is for the following reasons that I am now officially retiring from producing dance music. As usual, this blog will get progressively more angry as it goes along.

    1. Trance is musically dead.

    Yup. You only get any kind of recognition if you produce exactly the same style as Armin's current favourite producer. Here's looking at you Myon & Shane 54, you Deadmau5 and Inpetto cloners you!!! Any kind of originality left the genre about 3 years ago.

    2. I can't be bothered to shout about how awesome I am all the time.

    I know I'm awesome. I mean, look at me. I'm an adonis. However, I don't ever want my music to be recognised because I'm more shameless, more self-promotional or more sycophantic than other producers. I don't want to spend the rest of my life telling people I am awesome simply to promote a dead genre of music.

    3. There is no money in trance & the money that remains is taken by labels.

    Seriously. 3 years ago 'Luz de Sol' was released and it sold around 1000 vinyl copies. I made a decent, if not life changing, amount of money from this. I received statements from 2 of my newer releases the other day and it seems I actually OWE THE LABEL MONEY!!! For fuck's sake. If the sole way my music will be heard involves some label having the audacity to take all of my profits, own the copyright to my music and then pay me nothing then they can fuck themselves.

    4. DJs do 1% of the work and take 99% of the credit.

    Playing CDs and getting drunk, blowing coke off a hooker's arse and standing there with your arms out like you're Jesus while you play my music that I took 4 weeks of love and craft to make really pisses me off. You're not important, you're just a fucking moron. If you actually made one of the tracks you are playing I'd have some degree of respect for you. You're getting all the credit for my work, for other producer's work and then charging £10,000 a fucking night to take all of the plaudits. Fuck yourself.

    5. 4 minute long breakdowns.

    Yeah I can use the Omnisphere presets too, but it doesn't make me a musical fucking genius. There is no excuse to give people enough time to leave the dancefloor, have a massive shit and then return before the beat kicks in again. It's called 'dance music', not 'boring wanky synth preset music'. ASOT producers I direct this squarely at you, although Armin can take some of the blame for promoting such a bland type of music in the first place.

    I'll probably add some more reasons as and when I think of them. But the irony is, all of the above has made me all the more inspired. I haven't listened to trance in months and some really exciting musical ideas have hit me now. I'm going to be working with some amazingly talented people next year on some musical projects I really believe in. No more 138bpm, no more supersaws, no more breakdowns. Just good, honest music made alongside talented people. I've never been so excited about making music."

  • Warum ich als Dj keine Gigs bekomme

    das problem ist ihr wollt trance in großraumdiskotheken bringen, und das wird nicht funktionieren weil die meisten leute in großraumdiskotheken schlichtweg trance gegenüber absolut abgeneigt sind. von daher, lieber kleinere events unterstützen. wenn dies mehr geschehen würde, dann hätten wir das problem - zu wenige parties für zu viele djs - wahrscheinlich nicht :)

  • Sequentia "Mojito"

    mhmm erstmal lob dafür, dass es so viele verschiedene sounds in den remixen gibt. da wird einem doch nicht langweilig ^^

    der loko-remix ist selbst mir zu durcheinander ^^ der vast vision remix ist absoluter 08/15 uplifting der mich einfach nicht erreicht. der mint-remix geht schon in die richtige richtung gefällt mir vom sound jedoch nicht. vom sunny lax remix hätte ich mir weit mehr erhofft!

    alles in allem für mich der original mix, der mit seiner pumpenden bassline und der schönen mello absolut überzeugt. aufgrund des starken originals gibts 5/6 von mir :)

    wundert mich das viele den track von bolier nicht kennen, ist doch ein classic :)

    find die version vom shog nichtmal schlecht. eher chillig für gemütliche stunden, aber ich mag ihn trotzdem. auch wenn er es sicherlich besser als remix hätte laufen lassen...

    ich gebe mal 4/6

  • Warum ich als Dj keine Gigs bekomme

    meine meinung (ich spreche nur für den bereich trance), manches wurde schon erwähnt:

    1. man hat connections und kommt so an gigs.
    2. man hat talent zum produzieren und kommt so an gigs, eben weil der name bekannt ist

    beides hängt oft zusammen, z.b. kennt man veranstalter durch das produzieren o. ä.

    dazwischen gibts nicht viel meiner meinung nach, vorausgesetzt man beherrscht die "basics".

  • Moguai "Lyve / Impereal"

    was spricht gegen mau5trap und moguai??? ich finde es passt :)

    lyve ist genau mein ding, die mello umreißt genregrenzen der track hat viel potenzial und wird nach nach oftmaligem hören keinesfalls langweilig. imperial ist sehr in ordnung, aber reißt mich nicht vom stuhl

    ich find die zusätzliche kick stark bei lyve :)
    naja, insgesamt gute 5/6 punkten

  • Cell´E & Soulcatcher - Suizid guys

    hehe eins vorweg, komm nicht auf die vorlage gerade :) aber der track ist sicher etwas älter, und der trance der 90er jahre ist nicht so meins.

    die sounds wirken auch nicht immer frisch, die basline gefällt mir nicht, aber vielleicht ist dies ja eben bewusst gemacht. die plucks find ich dafür sehr schön, das pad gefällt. die melodie ist ebenfalls sehr schön. die sounds harmonieren so weit. ein schöner, chilliger, fluffiger track zum nebenbei hören und träumen! :) ja, es passt ^^

    ich meine das insgesamt halt eben kein wirkliches proggy-set es unter die letzten 23 sets gebracht hat. das war mir aufgeffallen. und es waren schon ein paar am start...

  • Steve Brian "La Gomera"

    ja, das ist schon wettbewerbsverzerrend mus man feststellen :/

    ich hab auch mal mein kreuz da gemacht, wo normal dein track stehen müsste ^^

    mit gefallen beide mixe. der original mix kommt weitaus techiger daher, das soundgewand ist dass, welches steve auszeichnet - absolut positiv gemeint, wenn jemand doch einen eigenen sound entwickelt (und weiterentwickelt) hat, der ihn in gewisser weise identifiziert. das break ist natürlich absolut gänsehautbringend, den gitarrenpart find ich sehr geil (selbst eingespielt? freunde? synth? sample? ^^

    der cressida remix setzt ein wenig andere schwerpunkte. auch hier erkennt man sofort den typischen cressida-sound, und auch dieser umstand erfreut meine ohren. die melodie wird nach dem break weitergetragen, was ich ebenfalls toll finde.

    beide remixe haben was für sich, beide sind toll. die vocals sind erfrischend anders und gefallen.
